WTFAWW 12A: Super Lax Bros

In this episode:

Y’boys bring some real deal pitches to the table – we got Bollywood, we got spooky Jumanji, we got Transformers vs. Predator or something, and we got celebrity ghost hunters. How will we ever choose?
Stick around for: LAX, cradling, regionals, California accents, the best non-Seinfeld use of the Seinfeld soundtrack, Logan’s work history, and the answer to the age-old question: if I was going to watch 45 minutes of a Transformers movie, which 45 minutes should I watch?

Pitches

Liam’s Pitch: Makkhi (aka Eega)

maxresdefault1

IMDb: 7.9/10

Short Synopsis: A murdered man is reincarnated as a housefly and seeks to avenge his death.

Our Pitch: Like The Fly w/ Jeff Goldblum but not horribly disgusting and depressing. Actually, the opposite. What’s more WTF than a tale of fly-venge?

Mitch’s Pitch: Beyond the Gates (WTFAWW Pick!)

tumblr_ojomfqywsh1ta2fv3o1_1280

IMDb: 5.2/10

Short Synopsis: Two estranged brothers reunite at their missing father’s video store and find a VCR board game dubbed ‘Beyond The Gates’ that holds a connection to their father’s disappearance.

Our Pitch: I’m pretty sure we picked this because of its awesome Goosebumps-y tagline (“Press Play… and Pray!) and because it stars “Matt Mercer.” heheh.

Chris’s Pitch: Transformers Prime Beast Hunters: Predacons Rising

*gasps for breath*

transformers-prime-beast-hunters-predacons-risingIMDb: 7.6/10

Short Synopsis: This movie chronicles the epic battle between the Autobots and the Decepticons in their mission to defend Earth against Unicron and one day restore their homeworld Cybertron. (…it’s a Transformers movie, what did you expect?)

Our Pitch: This cast is crazy. Peter Cullen (Optimus, duh), Frank Welker, Kevin Michael Richardson, Steve Blum, John Noble, Will Friedle, Michael Ironside… and then some Transformers stuff happens.

Logan’s Pitch: Ghost Team

ghost-team

IMDb: 4.2/10

Short Synopsis: A paranormal-obsessed man mounts his own investigation into the beyond with his depressed best friend, misfit nephew, a cable access medium and an overeager security guard.

Our Pitch: Amy Sedaris, Jon Heder, Justin Long, ghosts? Even if it’s bad, it should at least be fun. Probably.
